We dont just try to be like Jesus.. We train oursleves as Paul writes.. Thru training we can do what we can not do thru willpower alone.. Just like learning language, playing the piano... We train! Practise! "Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee!"

One day I decided to quit...
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... in fact I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I asked, "Can you give me one good reason

not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.

I gave them light.

I gave them water..
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said..
"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.
But I would not quit.
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would
not quit." He said.
"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. ..

But just 6
months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave

it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He asked me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling,

you have actually been growing roots".
"I would not quit on the bamboo.
I will never quit on you."
"Don't compare yourself to others."
He said.
"The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern.
 Yet they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me.
"You will rise high"
"How high should I rise?"
I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and brought back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
Never, Never, Never Give up.
Don't tell God how big the problem is,
tell the problem how Great God is!
Heaven's door opened this morning,

Find myself stoning instead of working...

At least i managed to send some emails. and get some stuff off my chest.
Now i have to brace myself for the terrible day ahead.

my eyes are experiencing a famine and drought. The lenses are slowly drying up and cracking.

My body feels under nourished. my fingers are retarded.
I'm just gonna keep typing till my colleagues stroll in one by one. And luvena has one of my drawings. Connie needs to check. Then i can draw in my finishing dimensions. After that, i just gotta mount the board. Should be fine la..

I know and am almost complacent that God will help me through. I still don't understand why my 2 team mates were removed. and now, i'm doing one *loody hotel alone! and one condo dev. alone! plus all the other projects i have to help 'photoshop' and i don't even have photoshop in my computer!

Crap Crap. stressed, but it's weird, i have this peace and i am stressed, but not down and out. Wow, chill out FM is playing a nice song now. LOL

Met beth up for dinner and to buy the glo paints.
it was almost a desperate situation and i nearly gave up.

But, God is good, we found it! and it even came in spray form and at a very affordable price!
So, we bought 5 cans. may be a lil too much tho.

caught the movie '27 dresses' it's was kewl! :) funny, but just a pretty shallow show i guess? or at least, my brain couldn't take all the depth in on a friday night.

Got home at 12 odd. tried the spray on one of the gloves, it worked perfectly! Wow!!! so kewl, it's green, but it woks fine! Thank God! :)

So i'm just really tired now, and worried about my work. But, i need to do up the PPT for sunday.

The youths are putting up a hand mime on the 5th sunday of march.

This song and mime is specially chosen to be in tune with january and february's YF devotions.

Dominic is the mime leader and it was just so great to know that actually a lot of them have great leadership skills, the ablity to move people, to plan and carry out logistical motions.

It's was really heartening to see all of them put in so much effort, really hope and pray this song's lyrics touch their hearts more than just the fun during rehearsals being remembered.

God, this is our prayer, we pray you'll bless us and use us for your people's edification.

Today's Sermon topic centered around God's great gift to mankind on Christmas day.
Rev Lee emphasized John 3:16. How fundamental, but it's a verse that's so whole and full in its meaning.

For God, The greatest Lover
So Loved, The greatest Degree
The World, The greatest Company
That He gave, The greatest Act,
His only begotten Son, The greatest Gift,
That whosoever, The greatest Opportunity
believeth in Him, The greatest Simplicity
Should Not perish, The greatest Promise
But, The greatest Difference
have, The greatest Certainty
everlasing life. The greatest Possession.

Christ has borne our sins, and torn for our salvation. The gift wrap has already been torn, to reveal the great gift. The gift that is given to all, just receive it. It is free, but it's not cheap. Christ a huge price for it.

I had this major conversation with my colleague. Thought it would be good to save the links on my blog so i may go home to read more on it. Hee.

Remember i said i made this mistake in sewing initials onto the hankies? After taking a second look, it's not too bad!

Yups, i'm already feeling very loved. And often, the people who don't seem to be around, remembers me in every special ocassion. :)
